Can someone please tell me where November went?! I cannot believe it is December! This week crept up on me (which does not seem usual lately). I missed my weekend blog post so well do a little catching up here.

  • I worked all weekend. Sounds fun right? Who doesn't love to work right through the sunniest weekend we have had in Melbourne all year!?! Whilst the sun was out in full force, I was indoors playing nurse. I work at a very busy hospital in Ringwood in the Emergency Department as a registered nurse. It is safe to say, quiet days are a rarity in ED (ER, A and E). I have been working in emergency for a year and a half and I would love to be able to say I love it, but that would be a lie. I like it. It is a stressful job that challenges and tests me every day. Any shift workers will know that it can take it's toll on your body. I have been exhausted this week trying to get some energy back after some very busy shits.
  • After coming home from my last nursing shift for the week, I stumbled across a familiar image on the kitchen table. It was the Holdsworth Brothers catalogue IN PRINT! I received a call from the owner of Holdsworth to thank me for the images. It is such a lovely feeling having clients express their appreciation. And always such a relief to know they have walked away happy with the finished product.
  • A few days ago I mentioned that one of my photos was entered in to a competition with Camera Paradise. It won! My image was voted the best which was extremely flattering! I am looking forward to spending my voucher when I can decided what to purchase. ( So many choice on Camera Paradise! )
  • I had a photo-shoot this morning which took place in an adorable coffee shop in Balwyn. The coffees are always lovely here and the complimentary ginger bread is so tasty! The lovely owner makes all her gingerbread by hand and is very good at it I might add. The gingerbread houses, gingerbread men and gingerbread christmas trees are all adorable! I love walking in to a shop and feeling the spirit of christmas hit you as soon as you enter.
Speaking of Christmas spirit, we started putting up our christmas decorations in our home. I purchased new lights and am aiming to put them up tomorrow night. Wish me luck! If all goes well, I will post a photo with the finished product!

The Old Pie Shop

All in all, it was an eventful week which I am extremely grateful for. I am looking forward to see what the next week brings!

On a side note, The video I took of my sister singing at Beyoncé's Melbourne concert is still getting a fair bit of attention. If you didn't get to see it, you can watch it below! Or click here.
