The Week's End

This week flew by. Actually, the last two weeks both did. I I have had a lot of trouble keeping up with the blog over the last two weeks due to being so busy, which I am grateful for. I didn't get a chance to post about my week last weekend, it went that fast! And lots has happened since.

Here is a little recap on the last few weeks

  • I am officially going to Europe! I have booked my return flight, in and out of the beautiful city that is Rome. I will be away for a total of 101 days. One month of my four and a bit months abroad will be spent studying the Italian language at a school in Taormina, a small town on the island of Sicily. I will be staying with a family and attending school 5 days a week with hopes of walking away almost fluent in Italian. I cannot wait to embrace the Italian culture and live like a local. It has been so long since I stepped foot in Europe. 8 years to be exact. So in my opinion, this trip was way overdue.
(I will keep you up to date on my planning and preparations for this trip including some info on visa, accommodation and booking internal flights as the weeks go on)
  • On Friday I attended the Night Noodle Market in Melbourne. What is it you may ask? In short, all the best Asian restaurants specialising set up tent in Alexandra Park and serve up their best dishes. There are about 30 stalls cooking up street-food favourites on the spot, from countries including Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, India, Taiwan and more. It is definitely worth braving the crowds and attending this two week long event. There is one more week left to indulge in some seriously tasty street food. If you are in Melbourne, Get involved!
  • The video I posted of my sister singing with Beyoncé has had over 500,000 views! I am in shock that a video that I recorded has been watched so many times! Incase you missed it, you can watch it here.
  • I have been busy this week editing photos for clients which has been fun. I have also had some very busy shifts at the hospital. (This is a part of my life that I will talk about in a bit more detail one day, however, so it makes sense, I am also a nurse and work part time in the Emergency Department). I am looking forward to sharing some more of my work with you as I have some exciting projects in the making! Watch this space for some more details on what's to come!

Below are some pictures from the Night Noodle market. There are more to come! I am sorry this is such a scattered post. I am writing this at the end of a very exhausting day so I hope it makes sense :/
